Anna-Kate's Closet is really excited to be able to offer evening hours after almost 3 years in business. Beginning Tuesday, May 4, 2010, we will be open until 7:00 p.m.! Yeah! Please stop in and meet our newest sales associates: Emily Groves.

Spring Arrivals in the middle of a Blizzard

Anna-Kate's Closet will be closed today due to continued Blizzards conditions. We hope to open tomorrow after shoveling out yet again from our 2nd blizzard within days of each other!

We are still having fun and are excited about our newest Spring 2010 arrival, Little Joules. After days of nagging, I have finally convenienced my daughter, Anna to pose so you could see just how cute the new clothes are. Here is a peak of what we have:

Hello all! We are stuck inside due to Blizzard snow conditions in the Washington, DC area. I thought I would catch up on some blogging and let our fans know what has been going on at Anna-Kate's Closet.

Last week, our window artist was in giving our store window a "face lift" in preparation for our new Spring 2010 inventory. If you are looking for a local artist to brighten up your childs room, she is the person for you. I can not tell you how many compliments we have received on our window displays since she began doing our windows this Fall. Remember the Fall theme with the black cat sitting on a pumpkin? And what about the Holiday Fairy holding a gift...I believe?

We are taking suggestions for our next window display. What should we do? Provide us with your comments and you could see your idea on our window!

Yesterday we received some darling holiday outfits from our favorite designers, Luna Luna, Twirls & Twiggs and LeTop. It was perfect timing because my children were out of school and Anna-Kate's Closet is gearing up for an in-store drawing at the end of the month. Thank you to all my customers who commented on our new newsletter. We know that your time is valuable and are working hard to provide you with "fashion forward" and informative content. A few of you commented that the Anna-Kate blog had not been updated in almost a year! To that end, the blog is being updated TODAY!

In our newsletter we mentioned our adorable fun and playful hats for winter (infant to size 2-5yrs) for both girls and boys but neglected to provide you with pictures (above). WHEW! August has been a whirlwind at Anna-Kate's Closet. We went to New York to view the new Spring/Summer 09 children's clothing lines - ADORABLE! We definitely have some goodies for you which will begin to ship in January 2009.

I fell in love with the baby pink patent leather clogs in New York City. My sister-in-law was wearing them during our 1st Annual Girls Weekend with our young daughters. My eyes were immediately drawn to my sister-in-law's feet and I knew I just had to find these clogs for my store (Anna-Kate's Closet) http://www.annakatescloset.com/. Well, I have found them and now you can buy them at my store in baby pink and black patent leather with a princess crown bling on one shoe. I tell ya, these clogs are so comfortable because the sole is soft (not hard wood) and trust me... you will want more than one pair. I have two and am getting ready to order the baby blue and silver for myself.

You can also place a custom order if you want more than just the princess crown bling (perhaps your initials or a skull, breast cancer ribbon, etc.). For custom orders, the initial price comes with one bling; there is an additional charge for extra blings added to the shoes.
